Beginner's Guide to Rockets
in a format that will allow students to demonstrate their basic knowledge of rocket science through
experimental, academic, physical and/or computer based experimental activities.
Flexibility
Can be played with teams of one or more students
Activities can be added or excluded easily
Can include one or all of the sections
* Experimental
* Academic
* Physical
* Computer Based Experimental (web access necessary)
Procedure
If only one section is being utilized
- Pull out the activity from the activities of activities
- Begin timer when the teams start the activities
- The first team to correctly complete the activity receives the activity points
- Follow steps one through three throughout the duration of the game
- When all activities have been completed the team with the most points wins
If two or more sections are being utilized
- Acquire one large bag and one small bag
- Put a number to represent each team in a bag
- Pull one number from the bag to determine
which team goes first
- One team member picks one piece of paper from
a large bag the color of that piece of paper will determine what section
the activity will come from.
- Pull out the activity from the activities of activities
- Begin timer when the teams start the activities
- The first team to correctly complete the activity receives the activity points
- Follow steps one through seven throughout the duration of the game
- When all activities have been completed the team with the most points wins
