Printing & Saving Data
There are three types of data that are captured and saved from the program by clicking the
Save and/or Print buttons on the bottom of the FoilSim screen:
- Save Data -- Saves both images and data to your local disk. Images of the
Plotter View
Panel and
the Airfoil View Panel are saved into images that can be edited and printed later
using an image editor such as MS-Paint or Adobe Photoshop. Data used to create the
Plotter View Panel plot
is saved to a file that can be printed or loaded into a spreadsheet; the data is saved in a format
that is recognized by most spreadsheet programs.
- Print Data -- Sends a printout of the current FoilSim settings, with images of the
currently displayed Airfoil View Panel and
Plotter View Panel, to the printer. (NOTE: THE PRINT
OPTION IS AVAILABLE ONLY IN THE UNIX AND PC VERSIONS.)
