Space and the Solar System
 
Objectives: Students will demonstrate an understanding of our solar system and how our knowledge has expanded in recent years.
Focus Question: How has our knowledge of the solar system, our galaxy, and deep space expanded over the last few years?

The event begins in our cosmic back year, then gradually expands outward to include the solar system, the galaxy, and deep space. Images from NASA missions enhance the videoconferencing presentation, which relies on the participation of students through comments and questions. Completion of the suggested pre-conference materials is important. The presentation can be geared to all grade levels.
