Some of the activities that were part
of the mission to the moon were taking photographs, gathering
various samples and measurements, deploying the Laser-Ranging
Retroreflector, and conducting experiments such as the Solar Wind
Composition experiment.

Neil Armstrong was the first man to

- What is the significance of the moon landing for us today? How
has it affected our lives? Answers
will vary. The moon landing is significant for us today because it
marks the momentous occasion when mankind was able to leave the
earth and actually set foot on another planetary body. It still
affects us because it launched a whole series of missions of
exploration into outer space, including the building of space
stations. It was the first step in perhaps a new set of possible
solutions to the problems of today, such as overpopulation and
limited resources.
