Ideas for Wind Tunnel ExperimentModel - Drag Body
Notes:
- The frontal area (the side facing the flow) must be the same when comparing the drag
of two objects because the drag is directly related to the surface area.
- If using the pivot & sting, objects must be mounted equally far apart from the pivot point. It is important that each object has the same moment arm.
- If using the pulley system, it might be better to have two pulleys mounted at the same streamwise location in
the tunnel. This eliminates any side force components using the full drag component to move the models. The models
will also stay aligned with the flow in this configuration.
