Wind Tunnel with Drag Objects -- Mounting Options

On this slide we show two possible mounting techniques to determine which object has the most drag. On the left, each object is suspended from the arms of a single sting. The sting is free to rotate. So the object with the most drag will pull the arm of the sting in its direction. On the right, we show two objects connected to each other by a wire which passes through a pulley. Again, the object with the higher drag will move downstream and the object with the smaller drag will be pulled upstream.
