Mount Olympus, named for the legendary abode of the Greek gods, is the largest, and westernmost, of the Tarsus volcanoes. More than 300 miles in diameter and 17 miles in height, this mountain would more than cover the state of Arizona, and, in vertical extent, would dwarf Mount Everest, whose summit stands at approximately 5½ miles above its base.
