Routinely and efficiently use on-line information resources to
meet needs for collaboration, research, publications,
communications, and productivity.
Objective:
After reading the explanation given below, use the
World Wide Web to discover what NASA Glenn Research Center is
doing to safeguard our atmosphere and summarize the findings in a
business report format.
Depletion of the earth's ozone level and acid rain are critical
problems which affect everyone. NASA Glenn Research Center is
committed to providing the technologies to make today's and
tomorrow's engines run cleaner.
The way in which fuel is injected into the aircraft's engine is
important to ensure clean burning of the fuel. NASA Glenn Research
Center is conducting laboratory studies of this process using laser
lights to enhance visualization of fuel-air flow patterns and
combustion simulations (shown below) of fuel injection in bench-top
tests.

Assessment:
You, or you and your partner(s), will be evaluated by the
creativity and thoroughness you display and the proper use of the
business report format.
Evaluation:
Demonstrate the ability to use the World Wide Web to
discover what NASA Glenn Research Center is doing to curtail the
exhaust emissions produced by current and future jet engines.
Summarize your information in a business report format.
