Objectives:

After reading an explanation from a NASA Web site, you will demonstrate an understanding of the text by completing a propulsion activity, charting the results, and answering questions that demonstrate an understanding of rocket propulsion.


The Beginner's Guide to Propulsion is a Web site of information prepared by NASA Glenn Research Center to help you better understand aircraft propulsion. Click Beginner's Guide Index to access the list of slides. Open the slide called Rocket Propulsion and read it, then proceed to the activity page.


Assessment:

You, or you and your partner(s), will be evaluated on the feasibility of your answers.

Evaluation:

You will demonstrate the ability to use and understand information found on the World Wide Web by completing the activity and charting your results. You should also show an understanding of the relationship between mass and the distance traveled given the propulsion from a film can rocket.
