In the table, the wind speed is indicated by the short lines or triangles extended from the long lines with corresponding numbers that are shown in miles per hour. The long line indicates the wind direction measured from the tip of the line inward to the circle. For example, if the line were straight up and down on the top of the circle it would mean the wind is blowing north to south. What is the wind speed and direction of the wind? Click on the best answer.

HINT: Use the wind scale in "mph" from the weather station data. Then, determine the direction the wind is blowing.


A) Wind speed is 1 to 4 mph. Wind is blowing from the northwest.

B) Wind speed is 15 to 20 mph. Wind is blowing from the southwest.

C) Wind speed is 15 to 20 mph. Wind is blowing from the northwest.
