Kepler's Laws
Three laws that describe the motions of planets and their moons around the Sun, published in 1609 (First and Second Laws) and 1619 (Third Law or Harmonic Law). The laws are the work of Johannes Kepler (1571-1630) and, in large part, are a result of Kepler inheriting the very accurate observational records of his boss, Tycho Brahe.
