The figure shows four straight lines, each with 31 points. In the first line the points are clustered at the left end, becoming more widely spaced at the right end. In the second line the points are clustered at the right, becoming more widely spaced at the left. In the third line the points are clustered at both ends, and more widely spaced in the middle. In the fourth line the points are clustered in the middle, and more widely spaced at both ends. In all of these cases, the clustering is less severe than for the other distribution examples shown in this section.
