1) Find S13 degrees and W77 degrees, then concentrate on the minutes.

2) Not every minute is marked on the map; only every thirtieth (half degree). You'll have to estimate a little.

3) Remember that the lines going up and down are lines of longitude, the y-axis. They correspond with the second set of numbers. The first numbers are the latitude or x-axis.

4) Don't forget that the numbers increase as you go south or west.
