Compression Set Test Fixture
The test system is capable of determining the ability of elastomeric compounds to retain elastic properties after prolonged compression at room temperature. Test specimens are placed between two chrome plated steel plates and compressed to a specified final height using precision shims for a predetermined period of time. Measurements of the specimen before and after compression are used to calculate the amount of compression set.

  • Conforms to ASTM D 395 (Test Method B) and ASTM D 1414
  • Precision shims at a variety of heights are available to control the final compressed height of the test specimens
