Ambient Pressure test Rig
  • Allows testing of foil bearings 25-50 mm in diameter
  • Bearing test speeds from 3,000 to 30,000 rpm with loads from 0 to 30 N
  • Loading is pneumatic and variable during operation
  • Test temperatures from ambient to greater than 500 °C at pressures from 0.2 to 2.5 atmospheres (approximately 20-250 kPa)
  • Load cells allow load and torque measurement
  • Multiple temperature and pressure sensors
  • Leak-tight cover surrounds major test equipment and can be backfilled with other test gases
