To divide fraction do this:

• First move the decimal point in the divisor to the right enough places to make it a whole number. (A number with no decimals)
• Next move the decimal point in the dividend the same number of places. (This may not make it a whole number. Add zeros if you have to)
• Then divide as usual

• First move the decimal point in the divisor
  • 0.04 becomes 4 after the decimal point is moved 2 places to the right
• Second move the decimal point in the dividend the same number of places
  • 12.8 becomes 1280 after the decimal point is moved 2 places to the right
• Third divide as usual
  • 1280 divided by 4 = 320

Now let us try another one.

What is 1.2 divided by 0.003?

• .4
• 4
• 40
• 400
