In this problem they are looking for the volume of the box. Volume is calculated using the formula:

V = l x w x h

Where l = length, w = width, and h = height

In this problem all that needs to be done is to multiply all three of the dimensions.

V = 14 inches X 6 inches X 10 inches = 840 cubic inches

Now let us try another one

The recreation center needs to fill up its swimming pool for the summer season. The pool is 3 meters deep, 8 meters wide, and 20 meters long. How much water will be needed?
