    Fish consumption advisory.  Chemicals contaminants can cause fish tissue to be unhealthy for human consumption.  The RAP collected 370 fishes in the Cuyahoga River and tested the fishes for 130 toxic compounds, in which 27 were detected.  Only PCBs (Polychlorinated biphenyls) were at levels of concern.  The study was published and rendered a advisory on fish consumption.  This advisory means you can reduce risk by selecting which location to catch fish.  Children and women of childbearing age should limit consumption of fish.  No restriction on the fishes caught upstream of the Cuyahoga River. Lower stream of Cuyahoga, White sucker under 11’-1 meal a week, Carp-1 meal a month, Brown and Yellow bullhead-1 meal every month.  In lake Erie, yellow perch have no restriction, walleye-1 meal a week, carp under 20’-1 meal  a month, catfish; lake trout-1 meal every 2 month.  43 areas of Lake Erie and Cuyahoga River were considered pollution areas were required for RAP to report on the health impact on all life forms.
