The Cleveland School of the Arts is being led by new administration this school year (1999-2000).  Ms. Barbara Walton, Prinicpal, and Mr.. Jeffrey Mazo, Assistant Principal, were appointed in August 1999.  Both administrators have a wealth of experience in the Cleveland Municipal School District and both share a new vision for the future of CSA.
    Ms. Walton had been the Assistant Principal at CSA  for the last three years.  She replaces Mr. Earl Cohen who retired after more than 32 years of service to the school district and over 18 years of service to CSA as a teacher, technical director, and principal.
    Mr. Mazo comes to CSA from John Hay High School. In addition to Mr. Cohen, also retiring in June 1999 were Eigth Grade Social Studies teacher, Mrs. Doris Meeks; Social Studies Department Chair, Mr. Arthur Steinmetz;  and Science Department Chair, Dr. Vinutha Sanjivamurthy.
