2) learn what makes a plane fly; and
3) learn how to manuever a plane in bad weather.

III. PARTS

Part 1: Cavemaze to Workstation 2

  1. Comparing Distances
  2. Distance Formula

Part 2: Flying a Plane

  1. Forces of Flight
  2. Airplane Parts
  3. Takeoff and Landing
  4. Navigating a Plane

Part 3: Weight and Lift

  1. Fuel and Payload Weight
  2. Lift Coeeficient

Part 4: Bad Weather

  1. Windshears and Microbursts
  2. How Icing is Formed
  3. Wind Tunnel
  4. Response to Icing Clouds

IV. SKILLS LEARNED (Grades 7-12)

  1. Determine distance, area, and volume
  2. Complete functional tables using formulas
