WHAT IS THE CEAGUI ?

A new release of CEAgui ( version 1.0 ) is available. CEAgui is a Java Graphical Users Interface Application for the CEA2 Fortran program. CEAgui allows the user to easily create or modify an input file for the CEA2 Fortran program. CEAgui also allows the user to run the CEA2 Fortran program and view the output file. The tabs and screens match the datasets in the CEA2 input file.

For the Problem dataset, there is also a pop-up screen for entering the parameters for that particular problem type.

For the Reactant dataset, there is a convenient feature for picking reactants from the THERMODYNAMIC DATA file with 2000+ species. That is a pop-up screen where the user can enter specific compounds or can identify combinations of the elements on the Periodic Chart for consideration. In the latter case, the user selects only the reactants desired for analysis from species made up of all the possible combinations of selected elements. The user also has the option to enter his/her own reactant information.

CEAgui provides a HELP menu for every item on each screen. An innovative feature of this HELP menu is that both the screen and the HELP menu appear simultaneously, so the user can easily work back and forth between the screen and the HELP menu. Fourteen (14) sample problems are included in the CEAgui to aid the user in setting up problems.

CEAgui package contains the latest CEA2 ( version 2 ) Fortran Source code, Java GUI class files and platform dependent executable files. The supported system configurations include the Windows ( Win98, Win2000, WinXP, vista ), Sun / Solaris, Sgi / Iris , Linux , and Mac OS X. People who are interested in this software, please submit the online Request Form for CEAgui download.

The CEA GUI is no longer supported for new platforms. Apologies for the inconvenience.
