NASA Space Mechanisms Handbook
and Reference Guide

The NASA Space Mechanisms Handbook and Reference Guide DVD is a fully searchable disk that includes:

• Many other NASA and industry reports on aerospace mechanisms.

An update of the Reference Guide was issued on DVD in October, 2009 that includes many additional reports.  The DVD includes the proceedings of the first 39 Aerospace Mechanisms Symposia (1966 to 2008).  The 1999 Space Mechanisms Handbook was not updated.

The Handbook is restricted under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).  It is available only to US citizens who have a need for the material.  To receive a copy you will have to sign and return a form that verifies: You are a US citizen. You work for a company incorporated in the United States; You will not transfer any part of it to a foreign national or foreign company; You have a legitimate need for the Space Mechanisms Handbook. The Handbook is not a general engineering reference.  It is intended only for people working in the space mechanisms field.  We cannot accommodate requests from people outside this field.

Our funds for duplicating the DVD are limited.  Please share the disk with your colleagues so long as you do not give it to foreign nationals or a foreign company.

We have a few copies of the original year 2000 2-CD set for people who cannot read a DVD.  Please specify on the form if you want the CDs.  The CD's do not have the newly added reports.
