Sorry

This answer is incorrect.

When dealing with the probability of two separate events, you must calculate the probability of each and then multiply these probabilities together.

In this case the number 5 will come up 1 out of 6 times, and the coin will come up heads 1 out of 2 times.

Therefore you must multiply 1/6 times 1/2.

1/6 * 1/2 = 1/12

Now let's try another one.

A basket contains 5 pieces of red ribbon and 3 pieces of green ribbon. What is the probability of picking a red ribbon out of the basket and then tossing a coin and having tails land up?
