Build Your Own Wind Tunnel
The NASA Glenn Research
Center Learning Technologies Project supported a project, between 1993
- 1996, in which high school students built a small sub-sonic wind tunnel
to use in the classroom to demonstrate aeronautical principals. The goal
of this project was to advance the students' level of understanding in
the areas of math and science.
Information about
this project is summarized below:
Here's some additional
Wind Tunnel designs that can be built. All of these links will take you
out of the NASA domain, so use your browser "Back" command to return here.
There is also a
gallery
of photographs that students have taken during the construction
and operation of their wind tunnels.
