Angela D. Surgenor ,an Aerospace Engineer, has been working at NASA Glenn Research Center for over 9 years,
in which she joined the Combustion Branch in 2002.
Angela is currently involved with the "Reformer Injector Test Rig" team in building up
a test rig to study SR(Steam Reforming), ATR(Auto-Thermal Reforming) and CPOX
(Catalytic Partial Oxidation) Reformer Reactors which will be tested in series with Advanced Fuel Injectors
and Combustor Mixer designs. This Reformer effort focuses on the possible future combined use with a
Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) to generate a 10 KW power output for use in commercial Aircraft Auxiliary Power Units.
Angela also has experience with Aerosol and Particulate Research, Low Emissions Combustion Research,
and has had hands-on experience in test rig integration, experimental research and data analysis.
Recently, Angela has been focusing her time on building up a new test rig for "High Temperature Desulfurization" concepts
to be used for future SOFC applications.
