Tribology & Surface Science Branch
The Tribology & Surface Science Branch is part of the Research and
Technology Directorate at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mission Statement: The mission of the branch is primarily
to advance the understanding and practices of tribological elements for
application in spacecraft and aircraft. Supporting this basic mission is
the capability both in surface analysis and in computational materials
science. This is done in accordance with the following activities:
