X-Ray Diffraction
The X-Ray Diffraction Laboratory is part of the Analytical Science Group in the Structures and Materials Division at NASA Glenn. This facility is used to study the crystalllographic characteristics of a wide variety of metallic, ceramic and polymer specimens. The laboratory houses two automated powder diffractometers, a Laue instrument and several suites of analysis software. The entire NASA community as well as outside industry may submit samples to the X-Ray Diffraction Laboratory.
