For a large, twin-engine airplane, a breakdown of water-injection costs, including system, water, service, maintenance of water injection system, and cruise fuel costs, suggested an increase in cash-airplane-related operating costs of under 0.2 percent, while the savings from reduced turbine maintenance would be about 1.5 percent.
