The purpose of this program is to build and test an ironless permanent magnet brushless direct-current motor that will serve as a realistically sized prototype motor for an unmanned aircraft vehicle. The motor is designed to be a testbed for various forced-convection-cooled stators. The stators, with cooling channels, will be formed from vacuum-potted Litz wires.
