The aspirated rotor looks like a fan that has 26 blades, with an outer shroud, or ring, that encircles the tips of the blades. The blades are curved, and on the convex side a 1/8-in.-wide slot is cut into the blade extending radially along the outer 50 percent of the blade surface. Between each of the blades on the outer shroud, there are eight small holes.
