This division is developing novel instrumentation techniques to test claims of heat production and possible nuclear fusion in sonoluminescent bubbles. The contribution from this branch has been to work on issues of bubble brightness, photography and spectroscopy of multibubble sonoluminescence. Another contribution has been to help build and test in-house concepts for radiation detectors in hopes of achieving a sensor that could detect fusion products in sonoluminescence if they are present.
