Dr. Don J. Roth is the NDE Team Lead at NASA Glenn Research as well as a senior research engineer with 25 years of experience in Nondestructive Evaluation, Health Monitoring, Signal and Image Processing, and Software Development. Dr. Roth as principal investigator has two R&D100 awards and two Journal Article of the Year awards for his work in ultrasonic imaging. His latest work includes using the terahertz NDE method to simultaneously image thickness and density variations in dielectric structures, multimode guided waves for crack detection in composites, and the development of an NDE Wave and Imaging Software Commercial-Grade Software package for all NDE method results. He also has worked in areas of thermography, xray, and computational NDE methods.
