Ultrasonic Phased Array Inspection System

Purpose: To inspect material volume for flaws and cracks through the use of a portable phased array ultrasonic device.

Ultrasonic Phased Array System

Primary Capabilities:
  • Used for flaw detection in weld inspection and material deterioration monitoring.
  • System is light weight and portable allowing for onsite inspections.
Special/Unique Capability:
  • Electronic beam steering and focal length adjustment allow automatic identification of the optimum inspection angle.
  • Wide area scanning with arrays provides more complete inspection coverage.
  • Integrated cross-sectional visualization which can be displayed in real time as a traditional A-Scan, sector scan, or both simultaneously.
Equipment/Instrumentation:
  • Phasor XS Portable Phased Array Ultrasonic Flaw Detector
  • Multiple element transducers for linear and angled scan viewing.
