Dynamic Modulus Lab

Purpose: To determine Young’s and shear modulus over a wide temperature range and provide upper bound and rate independent moduli

Dynamic Modulus Scanning System

Primary Capabilities:
  • Vibrational resonant frequency method
  • Measurement of moduli up to 1200 oC
  • Requires only small sample sizes
Special/Unique Capability:
  • Useable on all materials up to high temperatures
Equipment/Instrumentation:
  • Grindosonic hardware
