Performance Management
Performance Management is a systematic process by which an agency involves its employees in improving organizational effectiveness in the accomplishment of agency mission and goals. Performance management typically includes the following components:
Communicate and clarify organizational goals to employees
Identify individual accountability for accomplishing those organizational goals
Identify and address developmental needs for individuals
Assess and improve individual, team and organizational performance
Use measures of performance as the basis for recognizing and rewarding accomplishments
Use the results of performance appraisal as a basis for appropriate personnel actions
