Notice of USAJOBS/Monster Account Compromises

Recently, NASA was notified that USAJOBS was the target of illegal attempts to access and extract information from its database and certain contact and account data were taken. The information does not include sensitive data such as Social Security numbers or personal financial data. However, userids, passwords, phone numbers and addresses were accessed.

At this time, it is unclear as to actual usability of the compromised data. As a precautionary measure, USAJOBS is recommending that all users update their passwords as soon as possible. We further recommend users review their resumes to ensure information has not been changed or corrupted. Please refer to the USAJOBS Web site at http://www.usajobs.gov to obtain additional information or assistance.
