Health Insurance

Health insurance is available through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program that offers a wide range of insurance plans from which to choose. Students may elect any plan under this program within 31 days from appointment. Cost of the premiums is shared by the Co-op and the Government and will be made through payroll deduction. Coverage will continue during nonpay status, however, students must pay their share of the cost when they return for their next work period. Students have 31 days from the date that they lose coverage under another plan to enroll in the program.
