Evaluators Helpful Hints
Employee Suggestion Award Program

· Approach the evaluation in a positive manner.

· Communicate with the suggester and others involved.

· Determine whether or not it is a good idea and explain fully your reasons for adoption or non-adoption.

· Determine tangible or intangible benefits.

· Show where suggestion could be implemented.

· If you cannot make a complete evaluation recommend another person or group to complete the evaluation.

· Act on it promptly.

· Determine timetable for implementation

· If a suggestion has already been considered, document that the consideration was prior to the date of submission.

· If the suggestion must be denied, be sure it has been given a fair, business-like review.
