Vectors
in Relative Velocities Problems
If so instructed by your teacher, print out a worksheet page for these problems. Open the slide called Relative Velocities (with text) and read the explanation of the vector equation of airspeed.
A pilot is about to take off from a Bensonville airport which has two runways. Runway A runs East-West and Runway B runs 30 degrees West of North. There is a wind of 25 mph out of the Northwest (see figure above).
