  1. Construct your rocket and rocket launcher according to the directions given in the Post-conference Activity.

  2. Predict how well your rocket will fly.

  3. Launch your rocket and have a member of another team measure and record the altitude it reaches. (Information on how to measure a model rocket's altitude is given on the Internet at Model Rockets, Measured Altitude.)

  4. What is the difference between your prediction and the actual performance?

  5. Compare the flight of your rocket with other rockets. What is the difference in performance between your team's rocket and the other teams' rockets?

  6. Compose one paragraph in a journal giving details on how you decided on your rocket design. Justify your ideas. Explain the differences in performance of your rocket and the other teams' rockets. If necessary, review information on Flight of a Model Rocket, Parts of a Model Rocket, and Forces on a Model Rocket.
