Durability and Protective Coatings Branch (RXD)   MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to bring research materials to higher levels of technology readiness for advanced propulsion and power systems. We enable and extend component durability at high temperatures by understanding, developing and demonstrating the feasibility and viability of advanced material systems and by developing performance models. Our technical directions reflect national goals as we strive to meet current and future needs within NASA, other government agencies, and U.S. aerospace companies. We seek synergy in our collaborations with our industrial, government and academic partners to maximize the opportunity for technology transfer to our customers and spin-offs to benefit our nation.
