COMBINING EXPERTISE, FACILITIES, AND INSTRUMENTATION
TO COLLECT WORLD-CLASS DATA
Large Dome Facility

Shielding the neighbors from the noise of our research rigs, and keeping environmental noise from contaminating our measurement, the dome of the Aero-Acoustic Propulsion Laboratory serves citizens and researchers alike.

What's making all that noise?
When the answer isn’t obvious, careful testing is often the only way to find out. The laboratories at NASA Glenn are a national asset—developed over years of acoustical research and accessible to American industry through innovative research partnerships. Results of our tests, accompanied by extensive analysis and technical interpretation, are routinely published by NASA and presented by scientists and engineers at conferences worldwide.
