SMALL FAN RESOURCE LIST OVERVIEW
Fan Plenum in NASA Glenn ATL

Small fan aero and acoustic performance can be measured following standardized techniques.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Both fan manufacturers and system designers need to have detailed information in hand when trying to develop quiet fan systems. This is intended to be a working list of publicly available references related to various aspects of small fan aerodynamics and acoustics. Since spaceflight hardware developers and those working in the Information Technology (IT) industries face similar challenges related to small fans, we’ll also try to include reports on a number of space exploration and IT applications.
