About Us
EXPERIMENTAL EXPERTISE
Jet Rig

Scale model testing enables research engineers to study the fundamentals of jet noise. The hardware pictured here was used to investigate methods for enhancing chevron performance by injecting air at the nozzle lip.

Hearing is believing!
Balancing out the Acoustic Branch’s computational acoustic research, is a team of engineers committed to experimental acoustical research. Through scale model testing with state-of-the art facilities and instrumentation at our fingertips, we provide data to validate noise prediction software, and to demonstrate the benefits of low-noise engine component design.
