MDCA installed in ATL test chamber
The Acoustical Testing Laboratory (ATL) at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland (Ohio) provides acoustic emission testing services for space flight hardware and science experiment payloads that must meet stringent acoustic emission requirements. ATL services are also available for commercial clients. Payload acoustic emissions must be test-verified before launch, and frequent testing is a critical element in a low-noise design process for any product.
  • The ATL offers accurate and repeatable measurements on even the smallest and quietest noise sources.
  • The ATL's ISO 17025 quality program ensures the professional integrity and technical competence of every ATL service.

To request ATL testing services, please complete and submit an on-line test request form. For other services, please contact Beth Cooper, ATL Manager.
